About Me
It's time to introduce myself!I was born in 1971 and my nick has always been Allanon or, where not available, I used Allanon71.
Allanon is the name of a very powerful druid born from the brilliant mind of Terry Brooks in his series of Shannara books.
This character inspired me so much that I have got his name as my main nick name.
I've read many books, I like it: the brain works to recreate what's described in the book's pages and you transpose yourself in that world. To me is better than watching a film which, from my point of view, is a bit more passive.
Anyway, I lived through the 80s and 90s, I saw the advent of new technologies, the explosion of the Internet and mobile phones, the beauty of home hifi systems, pop music, dance and eurodance, incredibly beautiful films and the TV shows that have now been wiped out by sterile and boring talk shows.
During thes years I've seen so many anime & cartoons that I barely can count them but one thing is assured: I still remember (and sometimes listen to and sing) hundreds of opening music of these amazing animated series.
I'm a programmer, I've always been interested in programming and I have to give a big thank to the Commodore machines: the C64 first and the Amiga. The latter has leterally opened my mind and unleashed a wave of creativity that, after all these years, is still vivid and present.
Another passion I have is the music: I love to listen to music, and I love more to play music!
I've always played a music instrument starting from the piano, which I studied for around 4 years, than I played the Saxophon for around 3 years and finally I started to play (and I'm still playing) electroinic keyboards and synthesizers.
An enormous role in the passion for creating original music was played by the Amiga with its fantastic instruments to compose, namely music trackers.
I spent on these tools an incredible amount of time, but I also learned a lot. Stuff that is still used in modern synthesizers.
Lately I've started to play with single board computers (SBC) like the Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Pico.
3D printing has invaded my passions pool too lately.
As you can see I've too much hobbies and sometimes the free time is simply not enough because one of the worste thing being an adult is that your free time decreases.
